Eric is an expert in information technology and music. He is founder and CEO of Playnote Limited (“Playnote”), which focuses in next generation software for professional music education with artificial intelligent and cloud computing. Playnote has developed an artificial intelligent music teacher who can listen, think and teach professional music. Under the leadership of Eric, Playnote won the Grand award of the Startup category in Asia Pacific ICT Award 2012 as representative from Hong Kong and other 5 important regional and local awards in 2012-2013.
Before founding Playnote, Eric was the one of the co-founders, executive director and CTO of Perception Digital, listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX: 01822) since December of 2009.
On the other hand, Eric is a professional musician. He has participated in various public performances as pianist and orchestra conductor. He has also acted as opera tenor in a number of international opera performances. He is a member of Composer and Author Society of Hong Kong (“CASH”) since 1998.
Eric received his Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Philosophy, both in Electronic Engineering, and MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (“HKUST”). He also received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of London.
