Michelle believes every person should be empowered to use technology to express themselves and bring their ideas to life. She started First Code Academy to provide hands-on learning opportunities in software development in Asia.
Michelle held various roles in high growth startups in the Silicon Valley, including Buffer, a tool that helps people share smarter on social media and Bump Technologies (acquired by Google in 2013). Previously, she attended the inaugural class of Hackbright Academy, an intensive program in San Francisco on software development. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she graduated from the University of Chicago and began her career at Goldman Sachs.
