Minh Do

I’m an international executive and entrepreneur, real estate investor and recovering attorney.

I believe in big bets and hard assets. I’m an avid real estate investor and have invested in both London (safe) and Ho Chi Minh City (risky). I’m also a start-up enthusiast and am always looking for a new adventure. I’m a martial arts practitioner and big picture thinker. I follow politics, the macro-economy and technological developments on a global basis. I’m partial to Henry Kissinger, the Economist and Quartz.com.

Before I began my career I passionately wanted to be a corporate lawyer. Two years, a financial crisis, Lehman minibonds (Google it) and an RBS bankruptcy later I passionately wanted to build a business. I started a real estate company then joined GLG to help build their APAC businesses and have had a riot growing the company across Asia. I have an amazing job that allows me to meet some of the smartest and most interesting people on the planet.

I was born in London, grew up in Hong Kong, and have worked in Beijing, London, Singapore and Hong Kong (with a number of forays into India, Indonesia and Malaysia. In college I co-founded the LSE Entrepreneurs with @shazz which is now (I hear) the largest student society on campus. I’ve done a ton of jobs not listed on my resume including teaching a young boy how to use his first computer, print advertising sales, founded a school magazine and sold programs at the biggest sporting event in Hong Kong. I love snowboarding, Asian teas, full-bodied reds and my wonderful wife.
