Have an idea for a new event or niche startup group – let us know and if it makes sense we’ll help you to launch it.

As Hong Kong gets more and more diverse in the types of startups that launch we understand the need for more groups to get together and meet and discuss issues in that specific industry. This is how we started and how we want to grow more niche groups that revolve around technology and startups in Hong Kong.

We posted this list of 15 other startup associations in Hong Kong that you should check out – seems like a lot but we think there’s room for more.

We are helping Startup Grind launch it’s Hong Kong chapter next week – and that will be an entrepreneurial series of meet-ups and talks around starting up. Josh, Amity and Atin will be putting a great line-up of speakers together every month from you to learn from. The first event is on Feb 11 and StartupsHK are the honoured to be the first guests.

Working with Jon Buford of Makible and Julian Lee of Ambi, we are putting together a hardware meet-up for startups looking to tap into a networking event that will help them build stuff in Hong Kong. We find this to be a very important group that we will have news on soon.

We have access to venues, promotion and sponsors for you – so feed us your ideas now and let’s create a deeper startup community in 2014!

What we need from you:

  • 1-paragraph on the group mission.
  • Commitment on hosting for 1-year.
  • Social media knowhow.
  • A handful of people already interested in the topic.
  • Passion and dedication.

If you have these things email us at info (at) startupshk (dot) com and we’ll tally up the ideas and put them to a public vote and host the first meet-ups soon thereafter.
