AcceleratorHK Opens Applications for its Second ‘Cohort’ Starting May 13

After a successful first cohort at AcceleratorHK, they are starting recruitment for cohort #2 that will begin on May 13th.

This cohort will focus on mobile startups doing cross platform development with HTML5. They just opened applications on F6s and will keep the applications open for 3 weeks, until April 5th. They are looking for a cohort of 5 to 6 teams. (Last time they had about 80 applications for their 6 teams.)

The American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong‘s newsletter Biz.hk features a great cover story – Is Hong Kong Ready to Become a Startup Hub? – on Hong Kong startups talking to the people behind Nest Ideas, Accelerator HK, startups and mentors like Steven Kopec and Jacob Fisch:

For startups to really grow, Hong Kong has two low-hanging fruits to pick. On the one hand, Hong Kong needs to continue to welcome foreign investors and talents with open arms. At the same time, Hong Kong should do more in spreading the news of success stories of startups based here.”
