Startup Monday Pitch Night + Mixer Set for August 29 and You’re Invited!

Sumhk_final

Edit: We had to raise the entry fee to $100 cover projector rental, sorry for the late change.

We’re going to start making the last Monday of each month a more social event – moving from BootHK to one of the bigger venues at our disposal like Hyde in Central.

The typical SUMHK format will be replaced with 5 new start-ups pitching their ideas and getting feedback from the StartupsHK founders and then a chance to network with other founders and entrepreneurs in a more social setting.

Our first one is set for the Monday on August 29 and its $100 to get in which gets you a drink and some food in one of SoHo’s coolest bars. (Students can get in for $50, no drink but includes food.)

No RSVP just show up starting at 7pm and the pitches begin at 7:30pm sharp.

Rotten Tomatoes founder shares 17 years of startups in the Bay Area and China

Last Monday, Patrick Lee, co-founder of RottenTomatoes.com and alivenotdead.com, shared his experience with us at #SUMHK which takes place weekly at BootHK. It was an amazing presentation filled with words of wisdom from a seasoned entrepreneur. Thanks Patrick for the inspiring presentation. For those of you who missed it, @penguinsix has nicely posted the video he took on YouTube. Enjoy!
