The Hive’s Constant Tedder Announces Thailand Expansion and Talks About Co-Work Spaces in Hong Kong

The Hive has been busy expanding their co-work space empire. In the same month as their Kennedy Town expansion, The Hive opened up another location in Sai Kung – catering to the freelancer community.

After talking with founder Constant Tedder, we discovered that South East Asia is the latest on The Hive’s agenda – with Thailand as its first stop. “Bangkok should be opening on May the 20th, and my intention is to look into Singapore, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei and possibly Shanghai,” reveals Constant. “We want to create a network of co-working spaces across Asia where our members will travel to.”

Silicon Dragon Hong Kong 2014: Entrepreneurs, VCs, Angels and Startup Mentors Came Together To Discuss The Future in Finance and Tech

Yesterday’s Silicon Dragon Hong Kong 2014 at Cyberport featured a stacked panel line-up, with speakers from the US, China and Hong Kong chatting about finance, tech and innovation.

Organized by Silicon Dragon Ventures founder Rebecca Fannin, the panels were flanked by expert commentators including our own Allison Baum of Fresco Capital Advisors and Yat Siu of Outblaze. StartupsHK founders Casey Lau and Jon Buford also took the stage to discuss the future of adaptive manufacturing.

Snaptee’s Co-Founder Wai Lun Hong Talks Future Partnerships and Gives Advice to Mobile Startups

Last month, mobile startup Snaptee celebrated reaching 1 million t-shirt designs by announcing an app partnership with Manga Camera. The popular cartoonifying camera app, which reached 1 million downloads within its first week of release, will be Snaptee’s first beta partner.

We had a chat with co-founder (and brand new father) Wai Lun Hong and he talked about his startup’s success and the types of partnerships that Snaptee users can expect in the future.

“In the upcoming year, we want to focus more on partnerships,” said Wai Lun. “One of the things we want to launch is partnerships with game companies, focused on games that have amazing graphics of characters. We want to help them further monetize their artwork”
