Hong Kong’s Verxigo Raises US $25,000 on Bigcolors, a Crowdfunding Platform That Helps Startups Secure Funding

, a startup focused on globally connected co-working spaces, reached its goal of US $25,000 in exchange for a 5% stake on Bigcolors last week.

Thanks to the crowdfunding platform dedicated to helping startups raise capital, Verxigo secured collaborative funding from five investors hailing from the US, Australia and Hong Kong.

Verxigo helps startups gain a global presence by having an office space in the countries where they do business, without having to foot astronomical rental bills. With future plans to open co-work spaces in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Taiwan in the coming year, Verxigo is the second startup to get funded on Bigcolors (the first being KissHugs).

Programming Project CodeClub Comes to Primary Schools Across Hong Kong And Needs Your Help

CodeClub, a project kicked off by volunteers who set up after-school clubs that teach young children how to programme computers. Aiming to instil the basics of computer programming into children aged 9-11, this project has been widely welcomed across the world. Now the good hearts come to Hong Kong to help.

These clubs will be built around practical hands-on tasks that will include children making games and eventually controlling robots. It aims to have 20% of the Hong Kong’s primary schools running a Code Club by 2014. How cool would that be?
