Change Ventur.es is giving you a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and make like-minded friends from all over the world!
Change Ventur.es launches in Bali this September with its first 1 month long programme. Change Ventur.es combines travel and adventure with talks and vocational styled mentoring to create a life experience for anyone who is interested in working on a startup or social venture.
Based out of the Joglos villas north of Seminyak, Change Ventur.es brings together passionate, like-minded people from all over the world to exchange ideas and work on projects that create positive change. By 2020 Change Ventur.es aims to have helped over 1000 people launch their dream business or social venture that creates positive change.
Spend 1 Month in Bali
The 1 month Bali programme kicks off with a Lean Startup workshop to give Venturers all the skills they need to launch their business or social project. Over the following 4 weeks Change Ventur.es invites in mentors and experts to run sessions that cover a broad range of topics.
Sessions are designed to inspire, motivate and broaden social and cultural understanding as well as equip Venturers with the essential skills to make their projects a success. Topics include creative leadership, public speaking, digital marketing, investor relations, software development, design thinking and customer development to mention a few.
Venturers are free to work on their project or join sessions as they wish. As well as organising talks from experts and mentors, Change Ventur.es also includes surfing (it is Bali after all), yoga, massages, evening events and local excusions so that Venturers have a fantastic time and can experience all that Bali has to offer.
Creating Positive Change
Change Ventur.es was founded by Fergie Miller and Grace Clapham. Fergie started UK based adventure travel company Base Camp from his student bedsit and grew it to operations in 6+ countries before moving to Singapore to work on his latest startup Busification;
“When I worked in the UK career break industry it used to frustrate me that many of the available programmes were not innovative and did not offer projects that could create sustainable change. Change Ventur.es brings people together from all over the world to connect a community of change-makers that can support eachother in their business and social ventures during the programme and beyond. “
Grace is a marketing consultant through Agent Grace, Grace co-founded Secret {W} Business, co-founded SheSays in Singapore and is a Co-Organiser of Creative Mornings Singapore. Grace explains why she is passionate about the programme;
“I am passionate about enabling cross-sector collaborations and better cultural understanding. Bali is just a stones throw away from Singapore, Hong Kong and Jakarta, and offers Venturers an opportunity to learn from some of Asia’s brightest minds as well as acting as a fast track into an Asian network.”
Change Ventur.es is looking for 20 exceptional entrepreneurs, freelancers, graduates and career breakers to join them this September from all around the world who are passionate about creating change, and want to spend 1 month living in Bali developing their idea in a community with like-minded people.
