HotelQuickly, the hotel booking app that offers last-minute deals across Asia, has expanded to the Philippines. Those travelling through the metropolitan areas of Manila, Cebu and Davao now have access to 500 new hotels at their mobile fingertips.
For those that haven’t experienced the ease of HotelQuickly yet, here’s how it works: nine hotel deals are listed based on the user’s location once the app is opened up. As a private sales channel, only members have access to the exclusive deals – which are deemed more competitive than online agents. Not only can members enjoy competitive rates without planning ahead, but HotelQuickly promises to refund twice the difference if a cheaper deal is found elsewhere.
The trend “flashpacking,” which is spontaneous luxury travelling, has already hit the US and Europe – but HotelQuickly has successfully brought it to the Asia Pacific Region and is now offering deals in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and more. Headed up by a pair of ex-Rocket Internet execs, this local startup has seen success after launching in 6 countries simultaneously in March 2013 and has extended its reach to other countries since then.
For our StartupsHK readers, HotelQuickly is offering a voucher worth $150 HKD that’s valid for the first booking. Just type in STARTUPSHK and you’re good to go. The voucher expires in June so make sure you make time for spontaneous travel before then. If you haven’t already, download the app here.
