Hong Kong Helps Celebrate the 5th Year of Evernote at CoCoon

Evernote

It is one thing to misplace your keys because of bad memory but it’s even worse to lose track of important files for your company because of bad management. Evernote strives to change these common blunders businesses make due to too much information.

Jeremy Yuan,  the director of marketing for Evernote visited CoCoon last week, full of energy and fun giveaways. Celebrating its fifth birthday, Yuan remarked on how fitting it was for Evernote to be in Hong Kong—an industrial and business-oriented environment where productivity and efficiency is key. Evernote is made specifically with these key concepts in mind, organizing the many facets of a business and allowing each employee to access said information whenever needed.

Getting information when you need it can be difficult when it is in one location but Evernote is a multiplatform tool, allowing users to connect with important data from anywhere. Notebooks can now substitute the one-too-many desktop folders and tags within the notebooks allow for an easier browse. Yuan even demonstrated the different kinds of notes that can be stored—full web pages for offline reading, funny JPEG’s and GIF’s, as well as videos and voice recordings. Even when you are not using Evernote, it still features related notes when you type in keywords in a search bar.

Its all-encompassing memory can allow businesses to get more things done in less time. Instead of spending long afternoons in meetings, getting every employee up to speed, employers can now use Evernote to instantly notify their workers about any changes that need to be made. By minimizing the amount of organizational tasks, companies can now focus more on generating great ideas that can help the business move forward. Using the analogy of connecting the dots, Yuan showed how difficult it was to do this as companies grew larger and managed more people (and essentially, more ideas). Evernote becomes the pathway for a continuous flow of knowledge, increasing the flexibility to connect dots faster.

A few users of Evernote shared their experience with the software, including Christopher Yeung of Carshare HK. Each of them had different ways of using the platform but all were in agreement that it made their life and their business much easier, enabling them to share ideas quicker and connect with customers faster.

And no matter what they say about Taipei food – obviously Taipei-based Jeremy Yuan goes a little crazy for Hong Kong food himself when he is here in Hong Kong:
