If you regret not joining us in Singapore for ‘Startup Asia’ last month, here’s the chance to redeem yourself.
Tokyo Game Show 2014 is coming up on September 18th – 21st, and the Cyberport Collaboration Centre is inviting Hong Kong startups of all stripes to join in on the excitement. As one of the world’s biggest annual trade shows for video game developers, the large-scale convention will also give startups a chance to launch new products and showcase their latest innovations and technology. Read more details on the official website.
Themed “Changing Games: The Transformation of Fun,” this year’s Tokyo Game Show expects to host about 1,600 booths from over 300 exhibitors and predict about 220,000 attendees over the four-days. TGS 2013 set a new attendance record at 270,197, which was almost a 21% increase on the previous year’s turnout – so you can bet that this year will boast even a fuller house.
Although the Game Show attracts mostly game developers and enthusiasts, it’ll also be a great opportunity for any tech startup to experience the latest and greatest trends in gaming and technology in one of the most innovative hubs in the world.
You’ll have to pay your own way there, but just imagine yourself in Tokyo during the cool fall, where you’ll network with other tech startups, rub shoulders with cosplayers and get a first look at the hotly anticipated new gaming platforms launching in Japan later this year.
Email Sindy of Cyberport at [email protected] if you’re interested in joining us, and we’ll put together a Hong Kong pavilion.
Deadline to register is Wednesday, June 4th.
