Applications for this year’s StartmeupHK Venture Programme are due on July 31st!
For those unfamiliar with the programme, StartmeupHK is an InvestHK-run competition for startups who want to secure connections for Asia-Pacific as well as scale their business in global markets using Hong Kong as a base.
Winners will receive benefits worth up to half a million US dollars, including:
- A sponsored trip to Hong Kong (if you aren’t already based here)
- The opportunity to pitch to angels, VCs and strategic partners
- Professional services such as accounting, legal, branding, design and hosting firms
- Help with business incorporation and trademark application services
- Mentorship, media exposure and free working space in Hong Kong
StartmeupHK applications are open to two categories:
- Early-to-growth stage startups with revenue, a significant number of users/customers and 2-3 years track record of bringing a product to market.
- Concept and prototype stage startupsthat are pre-revenue but want to use Hong Kong as a launchpad to expand their business globally.
After applications close July 31st, the shortlist of 12 is announced in September and a five-day programme kicks off in November with 12 winners. Mid-November, the winners will pitch in front of a judging panel and audience where 3 ‘Grand Award Winners’ will be chosen.
