World Internet Developer Summit 2013 Engages Hong Kong’s Tech Sector with 2-Day Conference

The World Internet Developer Summit, hosted by the Internet Society Hong Kong,  was held last week at Cyberport and Hong Kong Science Park, two main technology centers in Hong Kong.

This seminar was jam-packed with guest speakers from around the world, all in attendance to educate and inform entrepreneurs about big data and the use of the cloud. With Hong Kong coming in third after Silicon Valley and New York as a tech center, this seminar was a great push in the right direction, with speakers from  Google, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blackberry and many more.

Getting more people (besides the rich and well-connected) involved in buying real estate without the stress that accompanies owning property is the aim of Hassan’s startup. With 15 years of marketing, business and organization development experience as well as a firm belief in the power of crowds, Hassan explains his reasons to disrupt the traditional methods of investing in real estate.

Our List of the Best Coffee Shops in Hong Kong for Working and Meeting Startups

StartupsHK started 3 years ago with 6 guys meeting in a coffee shop (that was Caffe Habitu the Table in Causeway Bay) – so we thought this list of the best coffee shops for startups was long overdue.

We reached out to our community and have compiled an initial 33 coffee shops that we feel are the best for startups.

Our criteria is that no Starbucks or other chain coffeeshops can be included because they are usually rowdy and full of school kids, and we’re sure you can find them by yourself – and that they would be great for meeting investors, doing work, co-founder brainstorming and other types of startup stuff – so basically they are quiet, located around Hong Kong and have varying degrees of delicious coffee and wifi access.
