StartupHug.com: Give your local Hong Kong startups a hug!
Many of us have been there. A soft-launched product with no one to test it on. We’ve already called in favors from our significant others and close friends, and yet we still need more data, more feedback from our users.
Startup Hug was launched so that we would never have this problem again. In established startup hubs like the Bay Area (Silicon Valley), almost everyone who lives there likes to try new products. People are even forgiving when new products fail. The early adopter culture there is strong.
Hong Kong consumers aren’t quite there yet. The goal of Startup Hug is to cultivate an early adopter community here in Hong Kong. To that end, they have made deals with four emerging startups to let you try their products at a discount.
There’s Grabbit (have someone do your errands), unYOUsual (get a unique smartphone case to show off), Dream Cheeky (gadgets to harass your coworkers), and Spoilt (reward yourself in a flight simulator or by yacht sailing).
What’s the catch? This deal ends on December 31, 2012. Get in on it now!
