Startups and Startup Enthusiasts,

The Hong Kong satellite event of Echelon 2011 Startup Launchpad, a precursor to the main event to be held in Singapore in June, will be held in Hong Kong on Thursday, 5 May 2011. Join us to find out about the hottest new startups from Hong Kong and the rest of Asia as well as listen to feedback of each pitched business by investors and serial entrepreneurs. By attending, you will also get to take part in determining which startups will proceed on to the final event in Singapore, where startups from multiple Asian cities will pitch and launch their startups.

Space is limited and entry is only available to those who register, so register now if you are planning to attend!

We would also like to thank Bloomberg for generously letting us use their venue and showing their support for Startups in Hong Kong.

StartupsHK Career Roadshow Visits the University of Hong Kong

After visiting the Chinese University of Hong Kong,  Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; The University of Hong Kong (HKU) came next. With final exams, final projects and the end of term looming, 40 students were attracted to the event making it a great turnout.

Presenting at the event were Wooya, Enterproid, Spoilt and Stepcase representing the diversity of start ups in HK ranging from Mobile Enterprise apps, experience gifts to mobile photo sharing.

The talk went smoothly thanks to HKU careers staff, and was arranged by Hoi Wan (@hoista) and the students were very interested to learn more about working at these start ups.

This was the last talk for this school year and we hope to have even more start ups recruiting at future events.
