‘Innovation in Action Forum’ on May 7th Now Open for Registration with Special Rate for Startups

While Hong Kong edged forward two spots to 7th in the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitive Index thanks to its outstanding infrastructure (1st), our city’s overall score was compromised by low innovation (23rd) and higher education (22nd) rankings.

So how do we do better next year? To figure out how to spark innovation in our city, we have to first understand what it is. Melissa Guzy of Arbor Ventures: Entrepreneur and Venture Investor Shares Startup Investment Insight

Continuing on our profiles of active supporters of Hong Kong’s startup scene, we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Guzy – entrepreneur, venture investor and the founder and managing partner of Arbor Ventures.

Before moving to Hong Kong in 2007 to build the investment team for VantagePoint Capital Partners, Melissa was the CEO of a startup in Silicon Valley before holding the managing director post for 12 years at a large VC firm. As her experience spans both startup team leadership and investment, Melissa is a great example of an “outside” investment guru bringing her expertise into Hong Kong’s ecosystem.
