Silicon Dragon Hong Kong 2014 is just around the corner! The Cyberport-hosted event will feature a record of 25 speakers this year hailing from Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Shenzhen, New York and of course Hong Kong. Refer to last week’s story for a complete list of speakers.

We had a chat with Silicon Dragon Ventures founder Rebecca Fannin and she said that the conference will have several key differences from last year’s event – the first being the theme. “This year’s program is focused on innovations in both technology and finance,” she said. “We have Ron Cao, the lead VC investor in China’s Bitcoin exchange BTC as a speaker, and other tech sectors represented are 3D Printing, CleanTech, eCommerce, Biomedical and Hardware.”

According to Rebecca, another new addition to Silicon Dragon 2014 will be the introduction of commentators for the tech chat portion of the program. Tech entrepreneurs will receive live and instant feedback on what they are doing wrong and right.

Besides being passionate about disruptive ideas in the tech and finance sectors, who can benefit from this event? “The program is for entrepreneurs, VCs, angel investors, incubators, accelerators, educators and policy makers,” said Rebecca. “Attendees will walk away with a new understanding of all the innovative tech startups coming from Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta, with lessons and insights on how to achieve success and rethink strategies.”

We look forward to seeing all of you next Tuesday!
