We went out and asked a bunch of people that helped make RISE such a huge success their thoughts on the whole event and we got back a bunch of tweets, Instagram photos and just an outpouring of emotion that we had to put it altogether into one post to close out the week.

Enjoy!

I met A LOT of people that are contemplating to start a fintech startup. Had two different ones asking for advice in my office today. DBS and Accenture filled their accelerators. I see only a few full fledged fintech startups in HK today but no doubt there are people on the tipping point. Singapore doesn’t have any either. General mood is its coming.

Loved seeing everyone I know in all of #TheKong in one spot and all of my friends from #TheValley. Only wish we had more time to talk about some of the topics in more depth! It was too fast!

For someone who is sceptical about all startup entertainment, it was pretty good. A good showcase of HK’s startup scene. Some good international speakers. And good for the local economy (yes, I’m talking about the pub crawl ) 😉

Screen Shot 2015-08-17 at 12.54.15 pm I liked the international side of Rise and all the events organized around which made the networking more fun. Simply loved the energy in the ecosystem! Almost felt like a week-long party/festival that had taken over Hong Kong – at the very least LKF ;)!— Atin Batra, ab Initio HK Ltd

I guess you already heard the: “The stands were too small and the main stage too small. It would have been great to take the feedback into consideration the first day and increase the main stage for D2.” The panel and talks on stage were really good. — Karen Farzam, W Hub
