The man, the legend, the sitter in red chairs: Walt Mossberg – returns to Hong Kong for an intimate and interactive evening on March 20 to discuss technology and startups at the Qube at PMQ in Central.
After years as the principal technology columnist at The Wall Street Journal, he decide to take his destiny into his own hands with Re/Code setting up a brand new media company with his partner-in-crime Kara Swisher.
Walt is no stranger to Hong Kong as he brought his D: All Things Digital conference to Hong Kong a few years ago and rebranded it Asia D. They brought some of the biggest names in tech to the stage at the Grand Hyatt and we got to hear the latest from Twitter’s Jack Dorsey, AirBNB’s Brian Chesky (who we kidnapped for our Startup Saturday event that weekend!) and even former Vice-President Al Gore – who by the way, is a great selfie taker and flew a sustainable commercial airline to HK!
This time instead of Walt interviewing tech people, StartupsHK founders Casey Lau and Gene Soo will be turning the tables and talking to Walt about things like: running a media empire in the 21st century, Silicon Valley vs Asia, game changing startups, Apple Watch and wearable devices, the future of VR and Oculus Rift, electric cars, space bound startups and of course reminisce about Steve Jobs. If Casey is on stage, we won’t leave until there is at least one Steve Jobs story shared.
Register now to see Walt speak and watch our showcase of the brightest stars in the Hong Kong startup scene!
looking forward to meet walt and have him to share more silicon valley stories.
